Hell's Kitchen is a nature reserve and is located about 40 kilometers from Malindi near the village of Marafa. Take the Lamu Road north to Mambrui and then turn left towards Marafa.
Hell's Kitchen is a rugged area with cliffs up to 30 meters high, which shine in a variety of colors. This area was probably formed by volcanic activity long before there were any people here. It is a great experience for nature lovers.
The tour takes about 2 hours, depending on how much time you want to take for the photos and videos. The trip is worthwhile in any case. The sunset in particular is something you have to experience, it's simply unique. The landscape is constantly changing. You can see the funniest shapes.
The entrance fee is very reasonable and you are taken through the gorges with a guide and learn a lot about its history and formation. It is advisable to tip the guide.
There is also a restaurant and even overnight accommodation. The entrance fees are used to support schools in the area.
